Berisha promises large projects in infrastructure
Prime Minister Berisha declared yesterday the year 2006 marks the start of large infrastructural projects all over the country.Berisha launched this declaration while he was participating in the inauguration of works for the construction of the road-segment Lushnje-Fier, as one of the main arteries of Pan-European Corridor 8 and north-south national one. This year will show the government will be closer to his citizens regarding the investments in the road network, water-supplies, electric power etc. I want to thank the construction company, but over all the Italian Government and its representative, Ambassador Jannucci, for what they have done and are still doing in the consolidation of the democracy in our country. The Italian Government is maximally assisting in the construction of European corridors in our country- Berisha said. On the other hand, Berisha expressed the commitment of the government he is running in accomplishing all the expropriation procedures since the coming six months and in the framework of the Italian Governments assistance, the workings on the other segment of Fier-Vlore corridor should start in the second-half of the year. During these months, World Bank, during these months, will organise the conference of donors for the road segment Kukes-Morine; it will be called the tender its segment Milot-Rreshen; it will be completed for the tunnel in Kalimash-Morine zone and thank to the Italian Cooperation and assistance of the Italian Government, it will also be completed the other segment Shkoder-Han I Hotit, Berisha said. Minister of Public Works, Transports and Telecommunication Lulzim Basha was also present in this ceremony, where further emphasised the governments commitment and ministrys he runs.
